You've been invited to our wedding reception (lucky you)!

PLEASE RSVP BY AUGUST 1

The reception will take place on September 6, 2008 from 7:00 pm to 2:00 am at a cool, hip, piano bar called LOUNGE 88 in the heart of Toronto's "Little Italy".

Our theme is a swingin' 40's-50's style cocktail party and a dress code is in effect. In the "cocktail party" tradition, we will not be hosting a formal sit-down dinner, though hors d'oeurves and desert will be served.

Oh yeah, don't let the word "lounge" fool you... there will be a dance floor and the party atmosphere will be in full effect. There will also be the requisite speeches and "first dance" as well as games (drink tickets anyone?) and a few surprises so don't miss it!

Any gifts are requested "By Presentation" at the reception. Cheques, money orders, gift certificates, food stamps... you get it. Basically, we are not registered at any retail establishment since, given that many guests are traveling to be with us, we do not wish to place any expectations upon our family and friends.

First and foremost, BRING YOUR TICKET! Our door man will be judging capacity based on admitted ticket holders so show that ticket at the door!

Now, obviously, we don't expect everyone to run out and buy a new wardrobe... but that should give you a basic idea of the style. In the end, ONE VINTAGE ACCESSORY (gloves, veil, hat, vintage jewelery, hair style) goes a long way toward making that "little black dress" in your closet fit in just fine. Have fun with it! Got it? Good. Let's move on to the gentlemen:

Okay, you can see that the men have it a little easier on the fashion front. We're looking for Vegas, baby, Vegas. However, again, a black suit or cardigan is all you need... add a tie, a hat, or even just a martini once you arrive... it's all good!

Okay, on to the party details!

Lounge 88 is located at 12 Clinton Street (at Henderson Ave., 2 blocks south of College Street in the heart of Toronto's "Little Italy"). See the MAP below.

There will be a CASH BAR but we will have drink tickets to give away to those who are really nice to us... and there will be a few contests throughout the night that will allow you to win drinks among other things.

There are also some surprises in store so we will all have a great time. We will provide three amazing bartenders who can make any drink you can imagine, along with beer on tap and in bottles, mixed drinks, shooters, an extensive martini list and a few signature cocktails on special that will be invented by the bride and groom.

The music will run the gamut; from classic big band & swing to mod hipster to rockabilly swing to rock & roll (old and new), as well as current dance, electro and R&B/hip-hop... so everyone will find something to dance to.

We truly want everyone to enjoy themselves and to share in our celebration so please join us. This WILL be the party of the year!
