Information for those invited to the ceremony

Hello ceremony guests! Capacity has dictated the need for a separate ceremony guest list. Basically, not everyone who has been invited to the reception has been invited to the ceremony - but all of you that have ceremony invitations are invited to the reception as well.

So for those of you who are invited to be a part of our "afternoon portion", here is the info you need to know:

Our wedding ceremony will commence at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the Robert Gill Theatre; located in the Koffler Centre at The University of Toronto (the Drama Department Graduate School) - 214 College Street (though the theatre entrance is actually on St George Street on the east side of the building) in downtown Toronto.

You should be seated inside the theatre between 1:30 and 1:45 so plan parking or transit accordingly. There will be ushers at the side entrance door on St George St. starting at 1:00 pm ready to direct you to the stairs or elevator that will take you to the 3rd floor theatre space. You will find a link to the Google map below.

Immediate family and members of the wedding party will be called into "photo-op" duty immediately following the ceremony but other ceremony guests are welcome to mingle casually as we have the venue booked for up to 1 hour following the completion of the actual ceremony.

Following the ceremony there will be time for guests to depart and find suitable dinner venues before re-convening with the happy couple at the evening reception for desert, cocktails, toasts and dancing.

We will NOT be doing a sit-down dinner, so all ceremony guests are advised to find a nice restaurant (and there are many here in Toronto - especially in the "China Town" and "Little Italy" districts which are both contained within the area between the ceremony and reception venues), relax and enjoy a lovely meal before arriving at Lounge 88 for the reception. Desert and hors d'oeuvres will be offered at the reception, but there will also be an extensive cocktail and martini menu... so get some eats before you arrive!

PLEASE email us if you are in need of restaurant advice... we can provide recommendations and directions based upon your dining preferences.


Any gifts are requested "By Presentation" at the reception. Cheques, money orders, gift certificates, food stamps... you get it. Basically, we are not registered at any retail establishment since, given that many guests are traveling to be with us, we do not wish to place any expectations upon our family and friends. Enough said about that :)
